D&#8217;abord fond\u00e9 par Paul Noug\u00e9, Marcel Lecomte et Camille Goemans, le groupe <em>Correspondance<\/em> s&#8217;\u00e9largit avec l&#8217;entr\u00e9e d&#8217;Andr\u00e9 Souris, de E. L. T. Mesens et Ren\u00e9 Magritte, puis de Louis Scutenaire et d&#8217;Ir\u00e8ne Hamoir.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;En 1927, Magritte quitte la Belgique et s&#8217;installe en France jusqu&#8217;en 1930. Il rencontre \u00e0 Paris le groupe des surr\u00e9alistes fran\u00e7ais, notamment Andr\u00e9 Breton, Paul \u00c9luard, Max Ernst, et Salvador Dal\u00ed. Il devient une figure importante du groupe malgr\u00e9 de nombreux d\u00e9saccords. L&#8217;aspect onirique de ses \u0153uvres, et le jeu sur les illusions de la perception, sont des caract\u00e9ristiques de la version du surr\u00e9alisme que Magritte repr\u00e9sente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Le Blanc Seing<\/em> est une illusion d&#8217;optique. Magritte utilise la technique du <em>trident impossible<\/em> ou <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blivet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blivet<\/a><\/em>, pour illustrer comment l&#8217;esprit per\u00e7oit un objet impossible. Les diff\u00e9rents \u00e9l\u00e9ments d&#8217;une image globalement incompr\u00e9hensible sont assembl\u00e9s en parties coh\u00e9rentes. Ici, le cheval et la for\u00eat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ren\u00e9 Magritte montre ainsi que le mental construit activement la perception d&#8217;une sc\u00e8ne, au lieu de simplement refl\u00e9ter ce qui se pr\u00e9sente sous nos yeux. Nous choisissons ce que nous voulons voir, que notre perception nous rapproche de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 ou qu&#8217;elle la contredise franchement. Ainsi que la mani\u00e8re dont nous nommons les choses&nbsp;: m\u00eame le titre <em>Le Blanc Seing<\/em> n&#8217;a rien \u00e0 voir avec l&#8217;\u0153uvre de Magritte&nbsp;! Il ne l&#8217;illustre pas, ni ne l&#8217;explique. Mais il en est bien le titre, parce que c&#8217;est ainsi que son auteur a choisi de la nommer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;De nombreux peintres et photographes modernes et contemporains ont \u00e9t\u00e9 influenc\u00e9s par sa critique stimulante de la subjectivit\u00e9 des images.
